Applying Agile/Scrum for Marketing
Are You Struggling to Scale Your Organization?
Do any of these sound familiar?
- Complex, cross-functional business initiatives take too long, get stuck, and often fail to deliver the outcomes.
- The organization is unscalable – it gets slower and slower rather than faster and faster as we grow.
- People feel like cogs in an unsustainable machine, want to return to old times, and the best ones start to leave in frustration.
- We spend months and $$$ executing plans – yet end up at the same spot.
- The organization oscillates between chaos and bureaucracy. (sometimes, it feels like both are taking place at the same time)
- Despite “doing agile”, nothing is really agile. We have people with agile role names (such as Scrum Master) who act as process police and spend time on estimating, playing poker, burndown charts and JIRA configuration. The focus is on compliance rather than outcomes.
Leave the Dogma and Process At The Door
You believe your organization needs to be more agile, but you think there’s too much dogma and process BS surrounding it. (Maybe you’ve tried it before …)
You’re looking for a pragmatic path toward agility that applies laser-focused interventions.
You don’t want an army of coaches to descend on your organization. You have great people and leaders; they know what they’re doing.
You know you have limited time to get this right, so you’re looking for some focused guidance to minimize risk and take advantage of shortcuts.
Here’s How We’ll Get There Together
- Align Around Value: We’ll identify your strategic priorities (what to focus on and what to stay away from). We’ll figure out how to organize in a way that streamlines work towards these priorities
- Tackle Critical Business/Product Initiatives: We’ll tackle your most complex initiatives with a lightweight agile/flow-based operating system where cross-functional teams are oriented around outcomes and are empowered to run fast iterative cycles measured by metrics that matter.
- Double Loop Inspect and Adapt: We’ll learn what works and what doesn’t and adjust ways of working to fit your context – evolving your operating system/model as needed.
