SAFe and Professional Scrum Training Workshops

I help teams and organizations better understand how to use Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe professionally through a broad portfolio of certified Scrum.org and SAFe training workshops available in person or remotely. Leaders reach out to me as the world’s only Professional Scrum Trainer who’s also a SAFe Fellow/SPCT and a Sense and Respond CTP when they want a deep yet broad and objective training experience.

From Agile Training To Agility Strategy

Have you ever attended a training workshop where the trainer moves on when you were hoping to get real and discuss the nitty-gritty details of how to apply the principles and practices in your context? Or directed your question to the “Parking Lot” and conveniently never got to it? Whenever it happens to me (yes, I still attend training workshops! Continuous learning for the win), I get frustrated.

Because I personally like to discuss applying principles and practices in context. I like to tackle the nuances and challenge the applicability of the different techniques. I like it both as a student and a trainer. So obviously anything related to applying is fair game when I’m teaching.

But it goes further.

My interaction with an organization often starts with “We need training”. Once we have the “Why” conversation, we frequently pivot from running a training course to combining the learning with strategic exploration and guidance, doubling down on applying the topic in practice.

These days, vanilla information is virtually free. Just take a self-paced learning course, read a book, or chat with your favorite GenAI chatbot. (I believe this is also why fewer and fewer people are interested in paying money for pure learning.)

The unique value of a trainer-facilitated workshop is in the application conversations, especially when it’s an internal workshop where you can dive deep into the context under NDA. (This is also why I rarely teach public workshops these days.)

I’ve delivered in-house workshops in organizations such as P&G/Gillette, HP, Intel, CME Group, BNY Melon, GAP, and many others. I’d be happy to have a “why” conversation with you to learn why you’re interested in training and design the right experience for your intent and context.

As an SPCT, I deliver the entire SAFe training curriculum. I primarily focus on private workshops, often as part of a scaling journey or introducing new competencies/behaviors. I find that workshops oriented around a concrete outcome are energizing and productive. Here are the SAFe classes I deliver most often:
