When Lean Startup hits the reality of large organizations — why validated learning is harder than it sounds and what Kanban thinking adds to the picture.

To sum up, there is nothing bad with the Lean Startup MVP concept. It is actually a great idea. Done right. And doing it right requires discipline & process maturity. attention to end to end flow from idea through validated learning all the way to kill/grow. Enterprise Kanban looking at the portfolio of MVPs/MVFs is a great way to grow this discipline and maturity. It also requires strong Product Managers who are able to define effective MVPs, guide the learning process, have the courage to hit the kill switch or to stick to something even though there is a lot of pressure to “start the new thing”.
